BEHIND THE SHORTLIST
Good reasons.
The whole story.
Pingree Detroit, Rebel Nell and Woodward Throwbacks + Hiatus Detroit: three approaches to thoughtful giving, connected to Michigan.
1 candidate still needs stronger independent user evidence. Read the sources, model scope and limitations below. Candidates are listed alphabetically. State connections do not imply local or US manufacture.
MEET THE CANDIDATEFASHION & ACCESSORIES
2026 CANDIDATEPingree Detroit
Slim Wallet with RFID Blocking
Uses leather reclaimed from the Detroit automotive industry in a reusable wallet.
- The state connection
- Made by Pingree's Detroit workshop.
- What to know
- Animal leather; reclaimed surfaces and colors vary. No claim that every component is recycled.
WHAT USERS & REVIEWERS SAY Some use evidence
An owner recommends a Pingree wallet after five years of use; customer-review platforms contain a much broader history of purchases.
Scope: Wallet family, not conclusively the RFID Slim SKU.
Keep in mind: Some reviews criticise size, leather stiffness or service. The main Trustpilot pool is old and should not be treated as a current SKU rating.

2026 CANDIDATERebel Nell
Detroit Necklace | Silver
Repurposes fallen graffiti into the necklace's distinctive charm.
- The state connection
- Rebel Nell was founded in Detroit and uses Detroit graffiti in this design.
- What to know
- The repurposed material is the charm; no recycled-content percentage is assigned to the whole necklace.
WHAT USERS & REVIEWERS SAY Some use evidence
Buyers describe repeat jewelry purchases and successful gifts; negative feedback flags small pendants, chain quality and design-selection expectations.
Scope: Jewelry brand and assorted necklaces; not uniquely Detroit Necklace Silver.
Keep in mind: Trustpilot invites are used and products are pooled. Do not assign its aggregate to this necklace or hide size/chain concerns.

WHAT USERS & REVIEWERS SAY Further review needed
