Our editors combine extensive product research with real buyer feedback to build these rankings. Prices and offers can change. How we choose · How our links work
Tea equipment earns its place by fitting the way you brew. This comparison covers ten distinct Hario designs: removable-basket pots, a lift-up strainer, a switch-draining brewer, a free-leaf pot, a resin pot, a rectangular cold-brew bottle, a paper-filter dripper, a compatible warming accessory and a glass pitcher with a lid filter. Compare what controls leaf contact, which parts touch the drink and what you must buy separately. Exact available US offers were checked November 1, 2026. Sizes, colours and alternative kits within a product family are not extra picks.

The short answer
Choose how to separate leaves from the drink
For a simple hot infusion, compare a pot with a removable basket. For a built-in way to end leaf contact, compare Teaor’s pull-up strainer with Largo’s drain switch. For paper filtration, Bouquet needs 02 V60 filters and a cup or server. For a refrigerator batch, compare the one-litre glass Mugichan pitcher with the 1.2-litre resin Ka-Ku bottle.
Different equipment, different jobs
A glass body does not describe the lid, gasket or filter. Crystal and Ka-Ku use resin bodies; Teaor uses wood with internal polypropylene; Largo has several polymer components. The warmer is a separate accessory for compatible vessels. None is presented as a proven healthier way to drink tea.
| Design | Method or task | Disclosed materials | Selected capacity | US price |

| Hario ChaCha Kyusu Maru Tea Pot — 300 ml | Basket infusion | Borosilicate glass and steel | 300 ml | $21.50 |
| Hario Leaf Tea Pot Pure — 360 ml | Mesh-strainer infusion | Heatproof glass and steel | 360 ml | $22.50 |

| Hario Ka-Ku Cold Brew Tea Bottle — 1200 ml White | Cold infusion | PCT resin, polypropylene and silicone | 1200 ml | $39.50 |
| Hario Cha Cha Tea Dripper Bouquet — CDB-02-W | Adjustable paper-filter drawdown | Glass, polypropylene and silicone | Maker states 1–4 cups; yield depends on setup | $23.50 |
| Hario Glass Tea Warmer — TWJ-S | Warming accessory | Borosilicate glass and steel | 125 × 125 × 80 mm | $25.50 |
| Hario Mugichan Tea Pitcher — 1000 ml White | Pitcher infusion with lid screen | Heatproof glass, polypropylene and silicone | 1000 ml | $30.50 |
Check yield, consumables and cleanup
Use millilitres to match your own mug rather than assuming a maker’s cup count is your serving size. Bouquet’s one-to-four-cup claim does not establish one fixed millilitre yield. Largo’s dripper-only price does not include a serving vessel. Reusable screens still need cleaning, and a glass component’s dishwasher permission does not extend to wood or every assembled lid.
These ten exact US variants and manufacturer images were checked November 1, 2026. Other capacities, colours and bundled versions are counted once per design. Compare coffee methods and filters, preparation and serving tools, bottle openings and lid materials and the editorial evidence limits.

What earns a place in this edit?
We compare the exact model and SKU, working capacity, brewing or warming task, disclosed materials, filter and cleaning access, consumables, heating restrictions and one-time US price. The scope is one manufacturer’s available US range, not a whole-market best list. Glass is not a health claim and may sit alongside plastic, silicone or wood. Reusable mesh avoids paper purchases but needs cleaning; neither format has a measured environmental advantage in this research.
This is source-based shopping research. No brewing, flavour, sediment, thermal-shock, leak, chemical-migration or lifetime-impact tests were performed. Every product has a visible editorial score and evidence basis. An accessory is identified as such rather than counted as another complete brewer.

- Best for
- A small pot with a removable steel basket
- Compare with
- A worn tea maker or accessory for the same recurring use
A wide removable basket keeps the leaves in one place while the glass body lets you see the infusion. The selected three-hundred-millilitre size suits a small serving; larger sizes belong to the same Maru family and are not additional products. Choose by the volume you actually pour rather than an unspecified number of cups.
Body & everyday fit
Remove basket to end leaf contact; dishwasher permitted. Follow the exact manufacturer instructions for each component. These notes are source-based research, not hands-on brewing, flavour, leak or migration tests.
The trade-off Remove the metal strainer before microwaving. The maker excludes oven, induction-stove and open-fire use; a heatproof-glass label is not permission to use it as a kettle.

- Best for
- A taller glass pot with a steel mesh strainer
- Compare with
- A worn tea maker or accessory for the same recurring use
This taller pot offers another basket-style construction with a stated three-hundred-and-sixty-millilitre working capacity. The manufacturer title is Leaf Tea Pot Pure even though the store URL contains another model name; the retained CHEN-36T SKU identifies the exact offer. The stainless mesh is separate from the glass pot and lid.

- Best for
- Lifting leaves out without removing the lid

The strainer lifts into the lid and locks above the water, letting you stop leaf contact without moving a wet basket to a separate saucer. It is a useful mechanism to compare if you regularly make a second infusion. The olive-wood top does not describe the whole assembly: internal polypropylene components remain.
Body & everyday fit
Glass bowl only for microwave/dishwasher; no soaking wood. Follow the exact manufacturer instructions for each component. These notes are source-based research, not hands-on brewing, flavour, leak or migration tests.
The trade-off More moving parts need cleaning. Only the glass bowl is listed for microwave and dishwasher use; keep wood dry and do not soak it.

- Best for
- Draining an infusion into a separate vessel
- Compare with
- A worn tea maker or accessory for the same recurring use
A switch lets the brewed tea drain out of the chamber when you decide the infusion is ready. This separates steeping from the serving vessel, unlike a conventional spouted pot. The selected offer is the dripper alone; other Largo capacities, stands and brewer-and-server kits are one family rather than new products.
Body & everyday fit
Dripper only; check vessel fit and exact assembly directions. Follow the exact manufacturer instructions for each component. These notes are source-based research, not hands-on brewing, flavour, leak or migration tests.

- Best for
- Infusing loose leaves in the pot body
- Compare with
- A worn tea maker or accessory for the same recurring use
The filter arrangement allows leaves to move around the main body rather than stay inside a conventional deep basket. Compare it with the Maru if you prefer this style of loose-leaf preparation. The pot and lid are glass, and the removable filtering component is stainless steel.
Body & everyday fit
Decant when ready; glass needs careful handling. Follow the exact manufacturer instructions for each component. These notes are source-based research, not hands-on brewing, flavour, leak or migration tests.
The trade-off Pouring separates tea from leaves, but tea left in the pot can remain in contact with them. Remove the filter for careful cleaning; no superior flavour or sediment result was measured.

- Best for
- A transparent resin pot with removable screen
- Compare with
- A worn tea maker or accessory for the same recurring use
A clear resin body provides an alternative for shoppers who do not want a glass pot. Its mesh screen slides into an internal slot and can be removed for cleaning. The selected design has a four-hundred-and-fifty-millilitre working capacity and is explicitly a polymer construction, despite its glass-like appearance.
Body & everyday fit
Remove screen to clean; confirm appliance permissions with seller. Follow the exact manufacturer instructions for each component. These notes are source-based research, not hands-on brewing, flavour, leak or migration tests.
The trade-off Body and lid are PCT resin and the mesh is polypropylene. Do not describe it as glass or plastic-free; heating permissions beyond the reviewed specifications were not established.

- Best for
- A rectangular bottle for refrigerated tea
- Compare with
- A worn tea maker or accessory for the same recurring use
The square-section bottle is designed for upright or horizontal refrigerator storage. Its removable top and strainer make it different from the glass wine-shaped coffee bottle already in our catalogue. It is intended for cold tea preparation and suits a larger batch when the fridge space and cleaning access fit your routine.
Body & everyday fit
Remove filter for cleaning; check seals before horizontal storage. Follow the exact manufacturer instructions for each component. These notes are source-based research, not hands-on brewing, flavour, leak or migration tests.
The trade-off Contains PCT resin, polypropylene and silicone seals. Horizontal storage depends on correct assembly; a cold-brew bottle is not a kettle and no hot-appliance permission is claimed here.

- Best for
- Paper-filtered tea over a separate cup or server
- Compare with
- A worn tea maker or accessory for the same recurring use
This cone uses a paper filter to hold leaves and catch small particles while a silicone gasket changes the drawdown speed. It offers a different routine from lifting a reusable metal basket. The maker specifies compatibility with standard 02 V60 filters; a receiving cup or server is a separate part of the setup.
Body & everyday fit
Hot water and dishwasher permitted; no microwave or direct heat. Follow the exact manufacturer instructions for each component. These notes are source-based research, not hands-on brewing, flavour, leak or migration tests.

- Best for
- Keeping a compatible pot warm after brewing
- Compare with
- A worn tea maker or accessory for the same recurring use
A separate warmer serves an already brewed pot rather than extracting leaves. The maker describes use with a tealight and compatible Hario heatproof-glass pots, including Maru and Jumping Leaf Glass. Treat it as an optional accessory for a routine that actually needs one, not as another complete tea maker.
Body & everyday fit
Gentle hand wash; use only as instructed with compatible vessel. Follow the exact manufacturer instructions for each component. These notes are source-based research, not hands-on brewing, flavour, leak or migration tests.

The filter is integrated into the lid, so loose leaves or fruit remain in the pitcher while the drink is poured. Its handled glass body and one-litre capacity offer a different layout from the rectangular resin Ka-Ku bottle. Compare lid access and the amount you drink before choosing a batch size.
Body & everyday fit
Clean lid filter separately; do not infer horizontal sealing. Follow the exact manufacturer instructions for each component. These notes are source-based research, not hands-on brewing, flavour, leak or migration tests.

A few useful answers
Before you choose
Which tea makers have glass and steel brewing parts?
The selected Maru, Leaf Tea Pot Pure and Jumping Leaf Glass list glass pot/lid components and steel filtering parts. Teaor adds wood and polypropylene; Largo adds AS resin, silicone and polypropylene. Check the complete assembly before choosing by its glass body.
How do I stop the leaves remaining in the tea?
A removable basket can be lifted out. Teaor raises and locks its strainer above the water, while Largo drains the infusion into a separate vessel. With a free-leaf pot or lid-filter pitcher, decant or remove the leaves when you want to end contact. No universal steeping time or superior taste is claimed.
Is a heatproof glass teapot also a stovetop kettle?
Do not assume so. Hario explicitly excludes oven, induction-stove and open-fire use for the selected Maru and Bouquet. Other models have their own instructions. A vessel designed to receive hot water does not automatically have permission for direct heating.
Which selected designs require disposable paper filters?
Bouquet uses standard 02 V60 paper filters and a separate receiving vessel. The other brewing designs use reusable mesh or a screen. The tea warmer is an accessory and does not filter tea.
Does the Largo price include a stand or server?
No. The selected $49.50 US offer is the 800 ml dripper itself. The stand, receiving vessel and alternative kits need separate checking. We count only one Largo family, rather than treating a kit or another capacity as a new product.
Are Crystal and Ka-Ku glass?
No. Crystal lists a PCT-resin body and lid with polypropylene mesh. Ka-Ku lists a PCT-resin bottle, polypropylene filtering/top components and silicone seals. They are transparent reusable polymer alternatives, not plastic-free glass products.
Can all the glass tea makers go in a microwave or dishwasher?
No. Maru requires its steel basket removed before microwaving; Leaf Tea Pot Pure requires lid and strainer removed. Only Teaor’s glass bowl is listed for microwave and dishwasher use, and its wood must not be soaked. Bouquet is dishwasher-compatible but not microwave-compatible. Follow the exact item instructions rather than transferring permission between glass products.
Can either cold-brew container be stored on its side?
The maker specifically describes horizontal or upright storage for Ka-Ku when correctly assembled. No horizontal sealing claim was established for the handled Mugichan pitcher. Compare the lid and seals as well as refrigerator fit.
Is the tea warmer a complete tea maker?
No. It is a glass-and-steel support intended for a tealight and compatible Hario glass vessels. It keeps an already brewed pot warm and adds a flame-use step. Follow the manufacturer’s compatibility and candle instructions; it is optional equipment rather than a requirement for making tea.
Are these current discounts or independently tested recommendations?
No discount or independent performance test is claimed. The exact variants were available to order from Hario USA when checked November 1, 2026. Prices are dated observations in US dollars; tax, shipping and later inventory changes are separate.
