2026 CANDIDATEARTIFACT
250 Sling Bag — Upcycled Vintage Military Canvas
Uses upcycled vintage military canvas for a reusable everyday sling.
- The state connection
- Made in ARTIFACT's Omaha, Nebraska studio.
- What to know
- Vintage material may show wear and variation; no whole-bag recycled-content percentage is assigned.
WHAT USERS & REVIEWERS SAY Further review needed
Reviews of ARTIFACT bags describe interest in the maker and its canvas goods, but no independent owner review of the selected 250 sling was located.
Scope: Brand; not exact sling
Keep in mind: Do not transfer praise for the lunch bag or tote to this sling. Needs product-level confirmation.

- ARTIFACT customer reviews ↗buyer reviews · Aggregated local customer feedback about bags and the studio; other models.
Research checked November 3, 2026. Reports are attributed, not independently authenticated. A few comments do not establish sales volume or a representative consensus.
Materials, origin & product documentation

MEET THE CANDIDATEBEAUTY & PERSONAL CARE
2026 CANDIDATEBenson Soap Mill
Wooden Soap Dish
Reusable wooden dish drains a bar between uses, helping users keep solid soap dry.
- The state connection
- Omaha-based Benson Soap Mill identifies this dish as locally made by Graham Baird Woodworking.
- What to know
- The current product page does not identify this dish's wood as reclaimed; no reclaimed claim is made.
WHAT USERS & REVIEWERS SAY Further review needed
Local customer reviews support Benson Soap Mill soaps, not this wooden soap dish.
Scope: Brand/store only
Keep in mind: The exact dish has no located buyer feedback; a useful accessory alone is a weak award candidate.

MEET THE CANDIDATEHOME & LIVING
2026 CANDIDATEWax Buffalo
Candle Refill Kit — Armitage Street
Soy-wax refill kit is designed to refill an existing Wax Buffalo candle vessel.
- The state connection
- Wax Buffalo is a candle company based in Lincoln, Nebraska.
- What to know
- Requires a compatible vessel and careful adherence to refill instructions; not a complete new candle.
WHAT USERS & REVIEWERS SAY Further review needed
Local forum users recommend Wax Buffalo candles as gifts, but another owner reports a candle wick drowning. No independent experience with this refill kit was located.
Scope: Candle brand; not refill kit or selected scent
Keep in mind: Older anecdotes, mixed experiences, compatible vessel required. A refill is a poor standalone first-time gift.

- Local Christmas small-business gifts ↗forum · Wax Buffalo recommended for holiday candle gifts.
- Measuring by weight vs volume ↗forum · One buyer reports a wick and fill problem with a finished candle; not proof of a kit defect.
