The whole story.

MEET THE CANDIDATEKITCHEN & COOKING
2026 CANDIDATEBoho Bee Company
Royal Bees Beeswax Wrap Set
Reusable food wraps made with cotton, beeswax, jojoba oil and resin provide an alternative to disposable food wrap.
- The state connection
- Boho Bee Company handmakes its wraps in Frederick, Maryland.
- What to know
- Not vegan because the wraps contain beeswax. Follow the maker’s care and food-use restrictions; actual service life depends on care.
WHAT USERS & REVIEWERS SAY Further review needed
Two wholesale buyers give positive feedback about the brand, including using the wraps instead of plastic wrap.
Scope: Brand and wraps generally; pattern/pack not specified.
Keep in mind: Tiny wholesale sample, no strong end-user forum evidence. Keep as a discovery candidate only if this limited evidence is made explicit.

MEET THE CANDIDATEFOOD & GOURMET
2026 CANDIDATEHEX Ferments
Miso Kimchi
The maker lists organic cabbage, chickpea miso and carrot for this fermented vegetable product and describes a focus on organic and local sourcing.
- The state connection
- HEX Ferments makes its fermented foods in Baltimore, Maryland.
- What to know
- Organic ingredients are maker-reported; no product-specific certification was verified. Check cold-food shipping and holiday delivery arrangements.
WHAT USERS & REVIEWERS SAY Multiple use reports
Baltimore users specifically recommend the miso kimchi, and Baltimore Magazine independently selected that same product as a local gourmet highlight.
Scope: Exact Miso Kimchi.
Keep in mind: Local enthusiasm is not national demand. Refrigerated shipping and recipient taste are material gifting constraints.

Original Granola — 12 oz
The recipe specifies organic oats, brown sugar, sunflower seeds and coconut. The maker ships in recyclable cardboard boxes.
- The state connection
- Baked at Michele’s Granola’s facility in Timonium, Maryland.
- What to know
- Contains almonds. Organic ingredients do not establish certification of the whole product or a lower total footprint. The food-contact bag is not described here as recyclable.
WHAT USERS & REVIEWERS SAY Some use evidence
Buyers describe returning to Original after trying other flavours, while independent food coverage and a Reddit discussion support the broader brand’s taste appeal.
Scope: Exact Original reviews plus brand-level independent discussion.
Keep in mind: Many retailer reviews are syndicated from the maker and some are incentivized; count these as one pool, not several independent samples. The Reddit thread is small.
