GREENERFRIDAY HOLIDAY GIFT AWARDS 2026
WISCONSIN — THREE CANDIDATES

No winners have been selected. Public voting is separate from editorial evaluation.

Birds Choice — Small Hopper Feeder in Blue Recycled Plastic
The feeder uses recycled poly-lumber, giving post-consumer plastic a reusable outdoor application.
State connection: Birds Choice is headquartered in Chilton, Wisconsin and manufactures bird-feeding products in its Wisconsin operation.
Considerations: Still a plastic product; regular cleaning is necessary. Its environmental benefit depends on service life, not simply being recycled.
User evidence: Retailer reviews of the recycled small hopper family describe sturdy construction and easy cleaning, alongside complaints about seed accumulation and limited room for larger birds.
Scope: Related recycled small hopper models; exact blue variant not isolated.
Limitations: Several retailer reviews are syndicated from the manufacturer and some incentivized. Treat as one overlapping evidence pool, not independent corroboration across stores.

Epicurean — Kitchen Series Cutting Board
Durable, dual-sided paper-composite board with a lifetime warranty; the maker documents its paper-and-resin construction.
State connection: Epicurean converts US-made paper composite into products in Superior, Wisconsin.
Considerations: Paper composite contains thermosetting resin and is not ordinary recyclable paper. No whole-product compostability or plastic-free claim is assumed.
User evidence: Kitchen Series owners report frequent use and easy dishwasher cleaning, but one exact-series reviewer reports surface fragments and cutting marks. Related Epicurean boards have a substantial enthusiast discussion.
Scope: Exact Kitchen Series owner reviews plus related board-family discussion.
Limitations: Exact-series reviews found are old and few. The material is paper plus resin, not plastic-free; related All-in-One awards cannot be claimed for this SKU.

Wigwam — Stryation Quarter Lightweight Everyday Socks
The selected product lists 36% recycled polyester and 35% recycled cotton.
State connection: Wigwam knits its socks in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Considerations: Also includes nylon and spandex; not fully recycled or plastic-free.
User evidence: Wigwam has long-term owners and repeat buyers, but recent forum experiences are mixed and no usable Stryation-specific buyer review was found.
Scope: Brand-level sock experience; selected model unvalidated.
Limitations: The REI Stryation page explicitly asks for its first review. Older praise and criticism of other Wigwam models should not be transferred to Stryation.
